Join Nicki Saunders on this wonderful
opportunity to paint around Buxton in
Watercolour.
We will get out each day on location and
gather subject material using photos
and sketches which can be pencil/pen
or small watercolour studies and then
we will return to the studio to develop
these paintings.
We will sketch on location around
Buxton and subjects will include the
Pavilion Gardens, The Opera House, the
Crescent and the main high street in
Buxton, all of which are within walking
distance of the hotel and each other.
Subjects will include the historic
buildings of Buxton and gardens with
trees, bushes, water and reflections.
Nicki's enthusiasm for painting is
reflected in her tuition and she will
surely inspire you in your paintings. She
will give you plenty of guidance and
encouragement in her process which
will include plenty of one-to-one tuition.
She will start the day getting everyone
sketching using either watercolour,
pencil or inks to capture the essence of
a scene which will include key
compositional requirements including
aerial perspective and linear
perspective.
Once back in the studio she will work on
a project on a Step-by-Step basis
where you can paint your scene using
the techniques that she is applying to
her painting or you can do your own
thing totally. Either way she will give
you plenty of one-to-one tuition.
