The Victorian Palace Hotel sits in 5 acres of
landscaped gardens in the heart of Buxton
overlooking the Opera House and is not far
from the Pavillion Gardens making it an ideal
hotel for painting within Buxton and of
course the Peak District.
The hotel offers comfortable
accommodation, a relaxing spa, and modern
leisure facilities which include a heated
indoor pool, gym, sauna, steam rooms,
beauty treatments and massages.
The spacious en-suite bedrooms offer
comfort and convenience and are well
appointed.
There are many options for studios and we
have a choice of two studios that we can use
based on our requirements, both with plenty
of space and very good natural light.
Buxton is fed by 4 main A-roads, the A6 from
Manchester in the north and Chesterfield in
the east, the A537 from Macclesfield in the
west and the A53 from Stock-on-Trent in
the south. If you are travelling on the M6
from the south you can leave at Junction 15
and from the north take the M56 at junction
20A. Other junctions that you can take are
J17 or J18 depending on your route.
Buxton station is less than a 5 minute walk
from the hotel.
If you are travelling from outside the UK, the
nearest regional airport is Manchester
airport which is just over half an hour from
the hotel. East Midlands airport is just over
an hour away and Birmingham airport is and
hour and a half away.
(If travelling by car you will need to register
your car in the car park on arrival and
normally there is a daily charge but this is
covered in the price of your holiday)
