Lee Wood Hotel is right in the heart of the
Peak District, has beautiful grounds and
gardens and is in a quiet leafy suburb of the
historic town of Buxton. It is just a 5 minute
walk from the Pavilion Gardens, Opera
House and The Crescent in the centre of
the Town.
The hotel is a family run hotel and has been
in the same family for the last 50 years and
you will be looked after very well by their
attentive and efficient staff. There is a
beautiful outlook across the bowling green
and tennis courts which can be seen from
the studio, dining room, beautiful
conservatory and some of the bedrooms.
All rooms are decorated to a high standard
with many walk-in-showers and with a lift
to all floors it is the ideal hotel for those
with limited mobility.
Buxton is fed by 4 main A-roads, the A6
from Manchester in the north and
Chesterfield in the east, the A537 from
Macclesfield in the west and the A53 from
Stock-on-Trent in the south. If you are
travelling on the M6 from the south you can
leave at Junction 15 and from the north
take the M56 at junction 20A. Other
junctions that you can take are J17 or J18
depending on your route.
Buxton station is a 5 minute walk from the
hotel or a 2 minute taxi journey. According
to your arrival time, we can arrange a lift
from the station, if you are unable to get a
taxi.
If you are travelling from outside the UK,
the nearest regional airport is Manchester
airport which is just over half an hour from
the hotel. East Midlands airport is just over
an hour away and Birmingham airport is
and hour and a half away.
