Join Carole Massey on this unique
opporunity to paint around Buxton in
Pen & Wash and Watercolour.
On our first morning, Carole will
demonstrate different approaches for
getting the best effects from Pen &
Wash.
We will sketch on location around
Buxton and subjects will include the
Pavilion Gardens, The Opera House, the
Crescent and the main high street in
Buxton, all of which are within walking
distance of the hotel and each other.
Subjects will include the historic
buildings of Buxton and gardens with
trees, bushes, water and reflections.
As this holiday is a sketching and
painting holiday, we will go out on
location and gather subject material
using photos and sketches which can be
pencil/pen, pen and wash or small
watercolour studies and then we will
return to the studio to develop these
paintings which can include Pen & Wash
or just watercolour as you prefer.
Carole's approachable style of teaching
will enable you to get the most from
your paintings as she will assist you with
plenty of one-to-one tuition.
Also, through a combination of
demonstrations and tips & techniques
she will show you how to get the results
you want whether a complete beginner
or a more accomplished artist.
