Moorland Hotel Haytor -Haytor, Newton Abott, TQ13 9XT
Set in the heart of the Dartmoor National
Park and overlooked by the famous Haytor
Rock, the Moorland Hotel is the perfect hotel
for a painting holiday as there are beautiful
views in every direction.
Each room overlooks the beautiful gardens
or the Dartmoor National Park, with its
picturesque landscapes, wildlife and
moorland beauty literally on our doorstep. All
rooms are well appointed with comfortable
beds and modern decor.
The Moorland Hotel is a modern country
house hotel, designed to ensure an
unforgettable stay. This country hotel is
operated by a professional team that deliver
excellent service.
There are a couple of options for studios but
it is likely that we will be in the conservatory
which looks over the beautiful gardens and
just a stone's throw from Yator and near to
Widecomb-in-the-moor it is the perfect spot.
We are also close to many of the other spots
that we visit on locations but still not far
from the town of Bovey Tracey.
Turn off the A38 between Exeter and
Plymouth onto the A382 head towards
Bovey Tracey. The hotel is just outside
Bovey Tracey on the B3387 to
Haytor/Widecomb from Bovey Tracey.
If coming from the A30 you can turn toward
Moretonhampstead on the A382.
The nearest train station is Newton Abott
which is a 20 minute taxi journey from the
hotel. Exeter st. David's is only 40 minutes
away by taxi. (Bovey Tracey is less than 10
minutes by car)
The nearest airport is Exeter airport and this
is a 30 minute taxi journey away.
