Join Catherine on this opportunity to
paint watercolours in a unique and
loose style.
Exmoor is a great place to paint using
this unique approach with it's
meandering rivers, cascading rivers,
waterfalls, streams and estuaries and
coastal scenery.
We will produce some sketches on
location using pen and wash around
the hotel and down the Barle Valley.
We spend just short periods on
location but will spend most of the time
in the studio producing full paintings.
Once in the studio we will focus on her
innovative 'gravity painting' techniques
which we will do on rigid artboard. She
will provide all the tuition required to
guide you through this unique
approach which will give you an insight
to a different way of working.
You will be able to unlock
watercolour's full potential with this
method. It will help free up your
painting style using running water and
watermarks to create atmosphere.
You will mix colours on your painting
and keep them bright whilst dialling up
drama with passages of juicy tubed
paint. Catherine will provide Step-by-
step demos to help beginners whilst
intermediate classes deep dive into
specific techniques.
She will provide plenty of support and
will her courses are fun and thoroughly
absorbing.
