Carol Kibble will show you how to paint

various techniques.
Carol will share her passion for pastels
and show you the secrets of successful
paintings. You can paint whatever
subject you choose whether it be
landscapes, still life or animals. We will
mainly paint from photographs and
other reference material.
The course is suitable for all abilities.
Whether you are new to painting, new
to pastels or simply want to improve
your pastel painting, this course will help
you to achieve your goals.
Working from photographic reference,
Carol will show you how to use this
medium in many different ways and will
share her 'Top Tips'. In addition to
using pastels in a traditional way, Carol
will introduce you to 'pastels with
water' which although very effective, is
rarely mentioned! She will also teach
you how to use pastels alongside pastel
pencils and/or sgraffito techniques for
getting those fine details into your
Paintings.
She will demonstrate all stages of
painting a subject - paper choice,
composition, accurate drawing, colour
choices etc. Plenty of one-to-one tuition
will be given throughout. Carol is a very
enthusiastic tutor and it gives her
enormous pleasure to see people build
their confidence and get results with
this fantastic medium.
