Carol Kibble will show you how to paint

animals and birds using various

techniques with pastels.

This 3 day course is designed to help

you learn how to paint animals using

pastels and is suitable for all abilities.

Whether you are new to painting, new

to pastels or simply want to improve

your pastel painting, this course will

help you to achieve your goals.

Working from photographic reference,

Carol will show you how to use this

medium in many different ways and

will share her 'Top Tips'. In addition to

using pastels in a traditional way, Carol

will introduce you to 'pastels with

water' which although very effective,

is rarely mentioned! She will also teach

you how to use pastels alongside

pastel pencils and/or sgraffito

techniques for getting those fine

details into your Paintings.

She will demonstrate all stages of

painting a subject - paper choice,

composition, accurate drawing, colour

choices etc. Plenty of one-to-one

tuition will be given throughout. Carol

is a very enthusiastic tutor and it gives

her enormous pleasure to see people

build their confidence and get results

with this fantastic medium.
